UHCW Department of Anaesthesia
Anaesthetists in training rotate to University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire as one of a number of schemes. Speciality Trainees from the Warwickshire School of Anaesthesia spend time working in the department as part of their five year speciality training. Core Trainees in anaesthesia are either part of an Acute Common Care Stem scheme or pure anaesthesia. In addition UHCW will also host trainees undertaking specific training modules including advanced training in critical care and higher modules in cardiothoracic anaesthesia
Staff and Associate Specialists are a vital part of the anaesthetic team who contribute to the department in a number of ways. As well as undertaking anaesthetic sessions many of them have special skills in areas such as long term venous access
